Connecting field work with customer approval
Livsmedelsstädarna provides cleaning and hygiene services for food production and other demanding environments. Recording that a facility has been cleaned is only one part of the work. Teams also need to know which points were inspected, where an issue was found, who is correcting it and whether the result was checked again.
We organised the application around this process. Each customer has production sites, machines and control points. Every inspection has its own records, assigned people and results. A new inspection starts a fresh check while keeping the previous history accessible.
A clear next action for each role
Cleaners open a personal task list with deadlines and separate views for work to complete, work awaiting inspection and approved points. Their task screen shows the instructions and the latest reported issue. After making a correction, they record the work and send the point for reinspection.
Inspectors record results, comments and photographs. A completed correction does not automatically become an approved result: it requires another check. Managers follow responsibilities, inspection status and the next action through a site overview.
- Cleaners have personal tasks and deadlines.
- Inspectors record issues and check corrective work.
- Customer representatives see only their assigned sites and inspections.
Findings, history and approval in a customer portal
After internal sign-off, a customer representative can review the complete inspection. They can check the results, follow the history of issues and corrections, download a report and either approve the inspection or return it with a comment. Both parties approve the same revision.
Earlier records remain available after further checks. This separates the current status from the work history: the original issue and its resolution remain visible. This type of B2B customer portal supports shared service records and document approval.
Phone and tablet access with offline support
The interface adapts to phones, tablets and computers. Field users see the task, its instructions and the action they need to take. Larger screens provide a broader view of production sites and results. Swedish and English are available in the interface and reports.
Users download their workspace before a shift while connected. New entries and photographs can be saved on the device and sent to the server later. The interface distinguishes locally saved work from synchronised records. Final approvals and report generation require an internet connection.
Schedules and reports follow the same workflow
Administration covers customers, sites, control points, accounts and access. Daily, weekly and monthly plans prepare separate inspections. PDF and Excel reports connect results with the people responsible and the work history. Access permissions determine which records each user can see.
Our work covers interface design and web application development for this business process. The project demonstrates how custom software can support specific roles, field tasks and customer collaboration. The screens shown here contain clearly labelled demonstration data.
